What are the benefits of a currency mining container compared to a building?
Specialized mining facilities have significant drawbacks. They may require specific permits and their development and profitability may be severely impacted by bureaucracy and compliance costs. Mobile mining units allow miners to quickly deploy and profitably operate in a region with attractive power costs. Containers are portable, allowing miners to capitalize on the most inexpensive power price regions. Miners can also easily manage their exposure by easily upscaling or downscaling their units.
Who are currency containers for?
The Wattum Mining Containers are mobile infrastructure solutions that allow miners to operate without a building to host machines in. Containers can be easily deployed near inexpensive energy sources, allowing miners to enjoy wider margins compared to stationary buildings which are dependent on local power prices being favorable.
What type of miners can be placed in your container?
The Wattum mining container, with a total capacity of 1.3 MW, can host up to 360 ASIC units, with a 3.5 kW capacity each. That means you can plug and play:
Can I purchase mining equipment together with a container?
Wattum Management can provide you with both the container and mining machines to operate within the container.
UL certified or non-UL certified
Wattum container is not UL certified. UL certified means that infrastructure has passed a rigorous testing and certification process against fires. However, the UL components and non UL components of infrastructure are often exactly the same. Since the miners are not UL certified, it defeats the purpose of having a container UL certified. In addition, the container is unlikely to catch on fire as it has a breaker switch if there is a short circuit.
Is it illegal to have non UL certified containers?
There is no law that requires you to have a UL certified container. However, some facilities require you to be UL certified to power your container. Wattum facility does not require it.
How come your container is cheaper than others?
Our containers are not UL certified and we pass the savings to you. UL certification can make the container cost 5x-12x more expensive on the raw materials.
How much wiring is in a container?
There are 2 miles (4 km) of wiring in a 40 foot container.
